I want to post this to clear up a lot of mis-understandings there seem to be regarding this issue. In 2009 When Brash Entertainment closed, it forced Factor 5's American studio to close. However the original Cologne, Germany based studio lives on working on un-announced projects. The reason we have not heard from them in a while is due to the litigation currently under way by the former employees of the American studio who alledge they were not paid in November and December of 2009. All work they had done was also transferred back to the Cologne office.
This is what they were working on when the american studio closed:
PlayStation 3
2007: Untitled project for Sony Computer Entertainment (cancelled)
2008: Superman (cancelled)
Wii
2008: Superman (canceled)
2009: Untitled flight project for Nintendo
2009: Untitled project for LucasArts
Xbox 360
2008: Superman (cancelled)
Untitled flight project for Nintendo has got to be either Pilotwings or Icarus related surely. Untitled project for LucasArts has got to be Star Wars related, as it it was Wii exclsuive was probably either a remake-trilogy or a new installment in Rogue Squadon.
Have you noticed there hasn't been a good Star Wars game in a while, kinda sounds like its time for a reboot. What better way to make a reboot than with new hardware. What new hardware is coming out Wii U. How does Factor 5 factor in to this, they've worked closely with Nintendo on their hardware in the past..... Hopefully we will see something at E3 2012. :)
in real terms, no they are still there but you can't rip the organs out of a raging beast and expect it to still roar....look what happened to Duke...hail the king baby!
ReplyDeleterip the organs out of a raging beast? they had 1 american studio who wud release a game every 2-3 years, yes, raging :S
ReplyDeleteDo you not remember the pretty?! BEASTLY
ReplyDeleteyes, they were pretty games. But they had a hand in the hardware, of course they made pretty games.
ReplyDeleteYou make no sense sometimes butt sandwhich!
