Masahiro Sakurai, producer of Kid Icarus: Uprising has spoken about what the dely until 2012 really means…
He tweeted “I’m currently concentrating on one title, Kid Icarus. Until this wraps up, Smash Bros. will not progress. Of course, characters have not been decided at all.”
Sakurai was shocked at this year’s E3 when Satoru Iwata confirmed that he would indeed be working on both Wii U and 3DS versions of Smash Brothers upon Kid Icarus: Uprising’s completion. This surely means theres little hope of seeing a new Smash Brothers title until Christmas 2013 at the earliest!
